April Fool's Earthquake

April Fool's Day- a widely celebrated day to make jokes, and fool our friends.
Some prepare days in advance to pull out the best trick.

The best line you would have heard yesterday, living here would of been,  "Did you know that we JUST had an earthquake?!" [Ha ha, very funny]

Well the earthquake we had in Crete yesterday was no joke. It did really happen!

We had a 6.2 Earthquake, carrying it as far as Egypt and Turkey.

Living in Greece, we expect frequent earthquakes, without severe damages /fatalities. (Thank God!)
Yesterday's earthquake was no exception. I had no idea that it really did happen until a family member called us from Athens! Some friends did feel the earthquake, while [like me] some didn't.
More people noticed the earthquake on the east side of the island, in Ierapetra, south of Agios Nikolaos.

So that is my April Fool's story.
What is yours?

I might try this next year :) He he he he!!

Hey Kim!

Ya, I couldn't believe we had one either. It was about 6 Richter. More than half of my friends said they felt it, but I didnt!

I am so thankful that nothing serious happend. 3 more richters and it could have been like Japan o.0
